Oleksandr V. Buriak (Boriska)

Soldier Oleksandr Buryak (call sign Boriska) was killed on February 25, 2022 in a battle with the occupiers near Volnovakha in the Donetsk region. The defender was 23 years old. Oleksandr was born in the city of Bilytske, Donetsk region. He received secondary education. He was a miner. He worked at the Dobropilska mine. During the full-scale war, the man fought in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a fighter of the 24th separate assault battalion "Aydar" of the 53rd separate mechanized brigade named after Prince Volodymyr Monomakh. He defended his native Donbas. "My dear Brother, you will forever remain in our hearts. You were the best brother. Courageous, kind, honest. You always came to help everyone. A true Hero of Ukraine! You gave your life so that we could live. Glory to the Heroes!" - said the sister of the fallen Olga. Due to the heavy fighting, Oleksandr's body could not be taken from the battlefield, and then the Russian military temporarily occupied that territory. The relatives believe that after the victory they will be able to bury their hero with dignity. The fighter left behind a mother, brother and three sisters.
