- 28-year-old junior sergeant Oleksandr Denysenko was killed on March 16, 2023 near the village of Novoukrainka in the Donetsk region. During an enemy artillery barrage, while on position, he sustained fatal injuries. Oleksandr was from the village of Antonivka in the Mykolaiv region. He obtained a higher education and a master's degree from the V.O. Sukhomlynskyi Mykolaiv State Pedagogical University. In civilian life, he held the position of a warehouseman at the NIBULON shipyard. He loved fishing, nature, and music. He was interested in machinery repair. Since the beginning of the Russian-Ukrainian war, Oleksandr volunteered for the front. He participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) / Joint Forces Operation (JFO). During the full-scale invasion, he fought for his country as part of the 406th separate artillery brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a squad commander and a platoon vehicle commander. He defended the Mykolaiv, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, and Donetsk regions. "My son is my pride! I am proud of him. My Sanya remains alive to me, he is my sunshine and soul. My son is a real man with a sense of dignity, justice, and honor," said Anzhela Zhilkina. The warrior was buried at the Matviyivske Cemetery in Mykolaiv.
