- Duchol Oleksandr Volodymyrovych was born on March 1, 1981, in the village of Trostianets, Yampil District, Vinnytsia Oblast. In 2000, he graduated from the Bar Automobile and Road Technical School. On August 7, 2003, Oleksandr Duchol began military service in the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. From October 21, 2016, to October 10, 2017, as part of the border service department "Stanytsia Luhanska" of the Luhansk Border Detachment, he participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO). Starting from November 15, 2019, he participated in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO), serving in the area of the border service department "Bakhmut" of the 11th Border Detachment, where he displayed courage and the best combat qualities. Since February 24, 2022, with the onset of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine, he participated in the defense and containment of the armed aggression of the occupying forces directly at the frontline in the Donetsk region. Since January 9, 2023, Senior Master Sergeant Oleksandr Duchol, as part of the border service department No. 2 of the 11th Border Detachment, heroically defended the city of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region. On January 18, 2023, from 1:40 PM to 6:20 PM, the enemy carried out a massive mortar shelling of the fire and observation positions "Vlas," "Mandarin," "Mandarin-2," and "Mexican" in the area of the northeastern outskirts of Bakhmut. Despite the heavy fire, the border guards timely noticed the approach of the occupiers. Senior Master Sergeant Oleksandr Duchol inflicted fire damage on the enemy's personnel. During the battle, he sustained multiple shrapnel wounds that were incompatible with life. For personal courage and selfless actions demonstrated in the defense of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and loyalty to the military oath, Senior Master Sergeant Duchol Oleksandr Volodymyrovych was posthumously awarded the Order of "For Courage" of the III degree.Memory Book of the MIA System
