Oleksandr V. Dzekh

Born on August 19, 1974, in the village of Buzova, Kyiv-Sviatoshyn district, Kyiv region. Graduated from 8 grades of the Buzova village secondary school in 1988, vocational school, and the National Agrarian University (now - National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine). Served mandatory military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. After military service, he served in the special unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine "Berkut," and later worked as a security guard. On June 20, 2014, he was mobilized by the Kyiv-Sviatoshyn district military commissariat of Kyiv region into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as the commander of a grenade launcher platoon of the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A2167, city of Bila Tserkva, Kyiv region). Since 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On July 19, 2014, Senior Sergeant Dzeh was killed while performing a combat mission in the area of the village of Marynivka, Shakhtarsk district, Donetsk region. He is buried in the cemetery of the village of Buzova, Kyiv-Sviatoshyn district, Kyiv region.
