- Soldier Oleksandr Fedotov (call sign Casper) was killed on November 6, 2023 near the village of Klishchiyivka in the Donetsk region. Together with his comrade, he was evacuating a wounded comrade from the position and came under enemy artillery fire. The wounds proved fatal. On November 23, the defender would have turned 31 years old. Oleksandr was born in Mykolaiv. After school, he obtained the profession of an electric gas welder. He loved music, was interested in technology, studied medicine on his own and wanted to be a military medic. In March 2023, Oleksandr joined the defense of Ukraine. He was enlisted in the ranks of the 80th separate air assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He fought in the Donetsk region. "He was the dearest person in the world to me. We grew up with our grandmother, who left us early. I was like a mother to my brother. I took care of him, scolded him, pitied him, always supported him. We had very strong family ties. He never complained, worried that I would not be nervous. He did not say how it really was in that hell where he was and was killed. His last shift was the most terrible - the enemy attacked with everything they could. Sashko had a severe concussion, but despite this, he remained for several more days to hold the position, because the shift could not reach them. I am proud of my brother. He was brave, positive. He could sacrifice himself for someone else. He could give his last shoes to someone else. I miss him very much. For the first time in my life, I feel like an orphan. They tore a part of my heart out, and the other part is bleeding and hurting. I am grateful to God that in this life it was Sashko who was my brother. Until my last day, I will carry the memory of him," shared the warrior's sister Svitlana. The paratrooper was buried in the Alley of Glory of the Balabanivskoye cemetery in Mykolaiv. Oleksandr left behind a daughter, son, father, two sisters and nephews.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
