- Olexandr Viktorovych Havrylovych was born on July 1, 1983, in the village of Butove, Zarichne district, Rivne region. In 1989, he entered the 1st grade of the local general education school, which he graduated from in 1998. He obtained an incomplete secondary education. He worked abroad for earnings. He served in the military in 2000 and was discharged. He enjoyed mushroom picking and fishing. From the first days of the full-scale invasion, he voluntarily went to the military enlistment office. His family tried to dissuade him, but he would not agree. He said, “My nephew is defending the Motherland at 22 years old, I will go too.” In a decisive time for the country, Olexandr went to war without hesitation because he knew he had to be there, to save others' lives. He just didn’t know it would cost him his own. Since August 9, 2022, Olexandr Havrylovych defended Ukraine as part of the Donetsk Border Detachment of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. He served in the rapid response command of the 1st detachment. He was an assistant grenade launcher. His last battle took place on January 9, 2023, in the area of the city of Soledar in Donetsk region, defending the territorial integrity of Ukraine. During an enemy shelling, Olexandr was wounded in an explosion, injuries incompatible with life. On February 10, Olexandr Viktorovych was laid to rest in the village of Butove. The hero is buried in the cemetery of the village of Vychivka.Memory Book of the MIA System
