Oleksandr V. Hlushko (Apostol)

Glushko Oleksandr Vasylovych was born on May 31, 1994, in the village of Ivaniv, Vinnytsia region. After graduating from the local school, he went to study at the Chernihiv Lyceum with enhanced military and physical training, which he graduated from in 2011. That same year, he entered the National Academy of Land Forces named after Hetman Petro Sahaidachny. He graduated from the academy ahead of schedule in 2015 and, with the rank of lieutenant, immediately went to the front. The first "combat point" for Oleksandr was the village of Krymske in the Luhansk region. After that, he took part in battles for the 29th checkpoint in the Slovianoserbsk district, in the city of Popasna and the city of Toretsk. He also carried out combat missions in the Donetsk direction. Despite his health condition, he remained in the army. He was killed on September 3, 2022, during an artillery bombardment in the Mykolaiv region. He was buried on September 6 in the cemetery of his native village. Oleksandr is survived by his parents, his sister, and his daughter.
