Oleksandr V. Huzovskyi

Soldier Oleksandr Huzovskyi was killed on June 6, 2022 in battle with the occupiers near Izium in the Kharkiv region. The fighter was 21 years old. Oleksandr was born in Yuzhnoukrainsk, Mykolaiv region. He graduated from the Yuzhnoukrainsk Vocational Lyceum, obtained the qualification of an electrician. He worked in a security company. In his teenage years, he was engaged in karate, later he became interested in volleyball. Over time, he began to go to the gym and run at the stadium to keep himself in shape. During his military service, he participated in kettlebell lifting competitions. He also loved to dance. In early February 2021, Oleksandr joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 40th separate artillery brigade. "I can't believe this happened! He was only 21 years old! Sanya is the best of people, a true hero! Before the full-scale invasion, his brigade was preparing in advance. And on the day of the attack, he was the first to express a desire to take up a combat position. He never complained and never lost his fighting spirit! When there were losses, he grieved himself and deeply sympathized with the families of the fallen warriors. He always remained courageous, kind and sensitive! In civilian life, Sashko was cheerful and kind-hearted. He avoided disputes, but not in battles against the enemy! He was torn apart by injustice! I remember he told how they were waiting for the occupiers in order to take revenge for our women and children, whose fates the enemies had destroyed! He fought for freedom and said: "I'm here so that they don't reach our homes!". Jokingly, he calmed us down: "Sister, what, I'm immortal! Wait for me only with Victory!". Brave, patient and dedicated! He burned with life! He went through seven circles of hell to end up in paradise... Pain and sadness... Life without a brother will never be the same as before... We grieve very much! The light of his soul is forever in our hearts," said the fallen warrior's sister Viktoria. The fighter was buried in his hometown. His mother, sister and daughter Maria did not wait for their defender to return from the war.
