Oleksandr V. Kandybei

Soldier Oleksandr Kandybei was killed on April 19, 2022, near the village of Dibrivne in the Kharkiv region. The warrior was 32 years old. Oleksandr was born in the village of Krutenke, Dnipropetrovsk region. He graduated from Chumakivska secondary school. He was interested in technology and loved motorcycles. In 2015-2018, he took part in the ATO in Donbas. He fought as part of the 17th Tank Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Later, he returned home and engaged in agriculture. On the first day of the full-scale invasion, on February 24, 2022, Oleksandr again took up the defense of his native country. He joined the ranks of the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade "Kholodnyi Yar". He participated in the defense of the Kharkiv region. On April 14, 2022, he last contacted his parents. And from April 19, he was considered missing. Relatives were waiting for news, believing in the best and hoping to see their Sasha again. However, in December, the worst expectations came true - his death was confirmed. "My only brother was kind, diligent and conscientious, ready to be the first to come to the rescue. He was my greatest support in life, the best advisor, the most handsome uncle to my children. Extraordinarily kind, loving, the only son of his parents, who was their support and pillar," said the sister of the fallen Svitlana. The defender was buried in his native village. Oleksandr is survived by his parents and two sisters.
