- 25-year-old Sergeant Oleksandr Kolomiiets (call sign Simba) sustained severe injuries while carrying out a combat mission in the area of Bohdanivka, Donetsk region. He was killed on March 27, 2023 at the Mechnikov Dnipropetrovsk Regional Clinical Hospital. Oleksandr was born in the Vinnytsia region. He lived in Vinnytsia. He graduated from the Vinnytsia State Pedagogical University named after M. Kotsiubynskyi with a degree in Physical Education. He was engaged in sports and was interested in cars his whole life. He was a participant in the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO). Before the war, he worked in Poland for some time. During the full-scale Russian invasion, the man defended his country in the ranks of the 8th Separate Special Operations Regiment of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a flamethrower operator in the special forces company. During his service, he was repeatedly awarded by the command with awards and certificates. "Good, sensitive, responsible, fair and right in all life matters. A true patriot. A person devoted to his Motherland!" - said the mother of the fallen Natalia Petrivna. The special forces soldier was buried in his native village of Sokyrintsi, Vinnytsia region. Oleksandr is survived by his parents, sister, nephews and fiancée. Posthumously, Sergeant Oleksandr Kolomiiets was awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
