- Sergeant Oleksandr Lebediev (call sign Ptytsia) died on February 25, 2023, in a battle for the city of Vuhledar in the Donetsk region. His life was cut short by enemy mortar fire. The defender was 45 years old. Oleksandr was from the city of Hlukhiv in the Sumy region. He graduated from school No. 4 there and the local vocational school No. 31. He was a tractor mechanic by profession. He loved working on the land. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing. During the full-scale Russian invasion, the man joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine to protect his home and family from the occupiers. He fought in the ranks of the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Black Zaporozhians. "My husband loved his country and family very much. In the first days of the full-scale war, he volunteered for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He considered it his duty," said Tamara Lebedieva. Oleksandr was buried at the Veryhinskyi cemetery in his hometown. At home, the warrior was awaited by his mother, sister, wife, and two daughters.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
