- Sergeant Major Oleksandr Loboda (call sign Doc) was killed from wounds sustained while carrying out a combat mission near the city of Avdiivka in Donetsk Oblast. The warrior fought his last battle on April 24, 2022. He would have turned 41 in 3 days. The soldier was born in the village of Pohlohy, Zaporizhzhia Oblast. After finishing school, he obtained the qualifications of a paramedic and a rehabilitation specialist. He worked as a masseur for a long time, and later joined the Primary Health Care Center No. 8 in Zaporizhzhia. A few years before the start of the full-scale war, he opened his own business - a carpentry workshop. He lived with his family in Zaporizhzhia. He joined the defense of the Motherland during the ATO. In 2016-2017, he defended Ukraine in the Donetsk direction. With the start of the full-scale invasion, he joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of senior combat medic in the 25th Separate Airborne Brigade. "Oleksandr was a man with a big heart, golden hands, brave, courageous, and always ready to help others. Most of his life he worked in the medical field, helping adults and children overcome musculoskeletal problems and recover from injuries," said his wife Anastasia. The defender was buried at the Kushuhum cemetery near Zaporizhzhia. Oleksandr is survived by his wife Anastasia and sons Ivan and Mykhailo. Sergeant Major Oleksandr Loboda was awarded the Medal "Independence of Ukraine" of the III degree, the Medal-Badge "Knowledge, Soul, Heart - to People" and the Medal "Defender of the Motherland" (posthumously).Memory Platform 'Memorial'
