- Sergeant Oleksandr Lysytsia (call sign Fox) was killed on July 2, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Dibrova in the Luhansk region. The defender was 45 years old. Oleksandr was from the city of Novovolynsk in the Volyn region. He graduated from the local Higher Vocational School No. 1. He was a construction worker and auto mechanic by profession. In civilian life, he was engaged in private activities and owned an auto repair shop. On the third day of the full-scale invasion, on February 26, 2022, the man joined the ranks of the defenders of Ukraine. He was enlisted in the 63rd Separate Mechanized Brigade, where he held the position of a machine gunner. He was a squad leader. Together with his comrades-in-arms, he fought in the Mykolaiv region. Later, he took part in the battles for Bakhmut. Then he went through the most intense points of the Kherson and Donetsk regions, and later defended the Luhansk region. "Dad was honest, purposeful, a true patriot of his country, a reliable husband and a loving father, a true friend and support for his comrades-in-arms," said Elizaveta Pavliuk, the defender's daughter. The warrior was buried in the Alley of Heroes of the cemetery of mine No. 2 in his hometown. Oleksandr is survived by his wife, three children, other relatives, friends, and comrades-in-arms.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
