Oleksandr V. Mokrynchuk (Sasha)

Soldier Oleksandr Mokrynchuk was killed on May 2, 2022 in the Severodonetsk area of Luhansk region. Together with his comrades-in-arms, he went on an evening reconnaissance mission in the area and received a fatal explosive injury as a result of enemy mortar shelling. The warrior was forever 31 years old. Oleksandr was born in the village of Polovynchyk, Cherkasy region. He graduated from the Monastyryshche vocational school as a welder. He worked in his specialty and was a professional in his field. He worked abroad for a long time. On March 12, 2022, the man was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Oleksandr served in the mortar battery of the 115th separate mechanized brigade. Together with his comrades-in-arms, he defended the city of Severodonetsk. "Sasha was extremely kind, sensitive and fair. Everyone who knew my brother would confirm this. He also loved his daughter very much. Now she says that daddy is a star in the sky that looks at her," his sister Olha Hlukhova said. Vitaliy was buried in his native village. He is survived by his parents, sister and daughter. The defender was posthumously awarded the medal "For Military Service to Ukraine".
