- Junior Sergeant Oleksandr Nakhman (call sign Solomon) was killed on December 2, 2023 near the village of Verbove in the Zaporizhzhia region. While performing his duties, he sustained fatal shrapnel wounds to the head. The defender was 30 years old. Oleksandr was born in Zaporizhzhia. He graduated from the National University "Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic", where he obtained a degree in micro- and nanotechnology engineering. He later continued his studies in the Czech Republic. In 2022, he obtained a master's degree from the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Institute of Public Administration of the National Academy of Public Administration under the President of Ukraine. He loved music and played the guitar, piano, and accordion. In April 2022, the man decided to go to the front to defend the Motherland from the Russian invaders. He served in the 15th Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine. He was a combat medic. "I want him to be remembered and known. There have never been and never will be anyone like him. He was extremely kind and cheerful. He always valued honor and humanity. He was a loving husband and the best father for his son. He voluntarily took up the defense of his state and family. Even before the war, he was nicknamed Solomon, because he was an extraordinarily wise man, and this nickname stuck with him during the war. And his younger comrades-in-arms called him a mentor. After our victory, he planned to stay and rebuild the country, he really wanted a daughter. He respected his parents and the older generation, valued family traditions. He was brave, dedicated to his work and comrades-in-arms," said the wife of the fallen Darya. The National Guard soldier was buried at the St. Nicholas Cemetery in Zaporizhzhia. Oleksandr is survived by his parents, younger brother, wife and son, who was not even a year old at the time of his father's death.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
