Oleksandr V. Panas

Junior Sergeant Oleksandr Panas was killed in action on August 1, 2022, in a battle with Russian occupiers near the village of Bilohirka in Kherson region. In 16 days, the warrior would have turned 31 years old. Oleksandr was born in the city of Korosten, Zhytomyr region. He received the profession of a locomotive assistant at the Kyiv Railway College. For some time, he worked at Ukrzaliznytsia. Seeking better opportunities, he went to work abroad, but later returned to Ukraine. In his free time, he went to the gym. He was very active and cheerful. Always joked and smiled. He had a hobby - engaged in the manufacture of products from epoxy resin. During the full-scale war, Oleksandr became a fighter of the 46th separate airmobile brigade. He held the position of senior sergeant of the platoon. After completing training, he went with the unit to defend Kherson region, where he was killed. "Our Sasha was cheerful, kind (this, like no one, can confirm my children). He had many plans for the future, but the war changed them. He went to defend us, so that we would have a future. He sincerely believed in victory, like all of us! He was a true patriot of Ukraine! We will remember you always smiling! Rest in peace! Glory to the heroes! Forever in our hearts," said the sister of the deceased, Oksana. The paratrooper was buried in the village of Novaky, Zhytomyr region. Oleksandr left behind his parents, sister, two nieces, whom he loved very much, and his beloved girlfriend.
