- Soldier Oleksandr Pavperov (call sign Malysh) was killed on December 20, 2022 in the Mayorsk area of Donetsk region. While carrying out a combat mission, the defender sustained a fatal mine-explosive injury. He was 49 years old. Oleksandr was born in Oleshky, Kherson region. He obtained a higher education at the National University of Shipbuilding, specializing in Shipbuilding. In peacetime, he worked as the deputy director of a food wholesale base. He loved fishing and driving cars. He was passionate about traveling around Ukraine. The man has been participating in the Russian-Ukrainian war since 2015. Back then, as part of the Aidar battalion, he fought in the ATO in the Luhansk and Donetsk regions. After being released, he returned home. He worked in security. With the start of the full-scale invasion, Oleksandr went to Kyiv, where he joined the 204th battalion of the Territorial Defense Forces and began defending the capital and the region. After the liberation of the Kyiv region, he became a fighter of the 5th separate assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. There he took the position of a member of the assault team and went to the hot spots of the Donetsk region. "I want to tell people to remember everyone who gives them the opportunity to wake up in a free Ukraine and live in peace. My dad was always a patriot, he believed in the best and did everything for it. Even a day before his death, when he knew the situation was difficult, he smiled and told me that the main thing is to believe and that we will definitely win. I want all people to remember the price we pay for this. Glory to Ukraine!" - said the deceased's daughter Tetyana. The hero was buried at the Forest Cemetery in Kyiv. Oleksandr is survived by his wife, daughter, relatives, friends and comrades-in-arms.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
