Oleksandr V. Pchola

Junior Sergeant Oleksandr Pchola was killed on July 7, 2024, while performing his official duties in the village of Zoriane, Cherkasy region. He was two months short of his 47th birthday. Oleksandr Pchola was born in the city of Nosivka, Chernihiv region. He graduated from school and devoted his life to service in the police. He served in the Ichnianskyi district. He was a district police officer and later worked in the criminal investigation department. He retired after serving for the required number of years. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends. In January 2023, he joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He underwent training and held the position of senior rifleman. Near Bakhmut in the Donetsk region, he was wounded while performing a combat mission. After rehabilitation, he was unable to continue serving in combat units, so in November 2023, he was transferred to the Uman Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support. "He was persistent, always able to achieve his goal. Kind, sensitive, and never refused to help anyone," his wife Halyna said. Oleksandr was buried in the cemetery in the city of Nosivka. At home, he was awaited by his mother, wife, two sons, and two brothers.
