Biography
In September 1994, he entered the 1st grade of one of the schools in Chernivtsi. From 1999 to 2002, he studied at an art school. Oleksandr wanted to be a military man from a young age, saying in elementary school: "My calling is to defend the Motherland." After finishing 9 grades of general education school, Oleksandr enrolled in the Lviv State Lyceum with enhanced military-physical training named after the Heroes of Kruty, which he successfully graduated from in 2005. Oleksandr purposefully continued to pursue his goal and in 2006 entered the special faculty of the Security Service of Ukraine at the Military Institute of Telecommunications and Informatization of the National Technical University of Ukraine "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute." Since July 2007, Oleksandr Petryshchuk served in the Security Service of Ukraine, and from 2011, he held operational and technical positions in the Center for Special Operations in the fight against terrorism, protecting participants in criminal proceedings and law enforcement officers of the Security Service of Ukraine. On June 24, 2014, near the city of Sloviansk in the Donetsk region, which was at that time in the zone of the anti-terrorist operation, Oleksandr Petryshchuk, as part of a technical group after conducting special measures for the installation and adjustment of telecommunications equipment and monitoring, was on board a Mi-8 helicopter that was shot down by separatists with a MANPADS. The missile hit the helicopter. All those on board, including Oleksandr, were killed.Military service
