- Born on May 17, 1976, in the village of Martinivka, Khmelnytskyi district, Khmelnytskyi region. Graduated from a general education school. Studied at a theological seminary in Poland but left his studies in the final year. Served mandatory military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Worked in Moscow (Russian Federation) for earnings. On July 30, 2014, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Served as a rifleman in the 128th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A1778 (field post V4673), city of Mukachevo, Zakarpattia region). From summer to autumn 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On September 15, 2014, Senior Soldier Popov was killed during a mortar shelling in the area of the village of Syze, Stanytsia Luhanska district, Luhansk region. On September 20, 2014, he was buried at the "Vovcha Hora" cemetery in the urban-type settlement of Chornyi Ostriv, Khmelnytskyi district, Khmelnytskyi region.Book of Remembrance for Ukraine - Ukrainian memorial
