Oleksandr V. Sierostanov

Soldier Oleksandr Serostanov was killed in action on July 18, 2022, during combat operations near the city of Toretsk, Donetsk region. Oleksandr was born in the city of Dniprodzerzhynsk (now Kamianske) in the Dnipropetrovsk region. He graduated from the National Aviation University in Kyiv. He worked for Aerosvit Airlines, and for the last 10 years, he was an engineer for flightworthiness maintenance in an aviation group. From the first days, he went as a volunteer, then transferred to the 72nd separate mechanized brigade named after the Black Zaporizhzhians. "The media will not write about his death, but it is on such quiet, reliable, responsible, and unpretentious guys like Sania that the front is held. This is a terrible tragedy. We must remember him and not forget," wrote Petro Testov, an acquaintance of the deceased defender. "For these almost 5 months, I never saw fear, panic, or despair in his eyes. He was in his place, sincerely believed in what he was doing, and did it better than anyone in our battalion. I repeatedly heard that he was a real find and that our entire battalion's communication was held on him. Young and smiling, brave and strong, that's how he will remain in our hearts. Grief and pain cover our eyes, but we will remember you smiling and strong," wrote Yuri Balu, a comrade-in-arms of the fighter. The hero was buried in his native Kamianske. Oleksandr left behind his parents and two brothers.
