Order "For Courage" 3rd Class

Biography
Almost half a year was extended the last journey home of the soldier, who was the tenth in the mournful list of losses of "Peacekeeper" — 32-year-old police major Oleksandr Spivachuk, whose life path proves that not only those from simple, "working-peasant" families went to the ATO zone to fight for the freedom and territorial integrity of Ukraine by the call of their hearts. In the unit, they didn't even know that Oleksandr was the son of a well-known educator and public figure in Khmelnytskyi, Volodymyr Leonidovych Spivachuk, a people's deputy of the IV convocation, later a deputy of the regional council… After graduating in 2004 from Khmelnytskyi National University with a degree in "Radio Engineering," Oleksandr Spivachuk served his mandatory military service in the internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, later choosing a career as a professional law enforcement officer. Since 2005, he served in the internal affairs bodies, starting as an assistant to the district police inspector. In 2012, he graduated from the National Academy of Internal Affairs, obtaining a diploma in "Law." With the beginning of the "undeclared war" in Eastern Ukraine, Major Spivachuk, leaving his position in the investigative department of the general criminal cases of the investigative department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Khmelnytskyi region, became one of the first volunteers of the BPSMOP "Peacekeeper." He took direct part in maintaining law and order in Sloviansk, Dzerzhynsk, in the area of Horlivka, and other settlements in Donetsk region. His combat comrades now remember not only his courage, kindness, and conscientiousness, but also his integrity, which manifested itself primarily in his constant desire to always and in everything act according to the law. One detail that stood out the most: among the things that Oleksandr Volodymyrovych took with him when going to war was a bag of books. He constantly reread this little library himself and willingly shared it with his colleagues… In the heat of battle, breaking through from the Ilovaisk cauldron, on August 29, Oleksandr went missing. His family and colleagues hoped until the last moment to find him alive, but unfortunately, due to the identification procedure by DNA tests, it was established that Major Spivachuk had died and was buried with military honors as an unknown defender of Ukraine under number 6932 at the Krasnopil cemetery in Dnipropetrovsk. On January 25, 2015, a civil memorial service was held at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Khmelnytskyi, lasting several hours — along with the parents of the deceased officer, his wife Liliya, and 4-year-old son Dmytro, his colleagues, regional and city leaders, and thousands of Khmelnytskyi residents participated. After the memorial service in the Orthodox church, the hero was reburied in the section of honorable burials at the cemetery in the "Rakove" microdistrict. On December 12, 2016, judge of the Khmelnytskyi city district court Oksana Zavorotnyuk, at the request of the 69-year-old father of the deceased, Volodymyr Spivachuk, established the legal fact of the death of Oleksandr Volodymyrovych Spivachuk, born on March 9, 1982, during the performance of military service duties on August 29, 2014, in the territory of Donetsk region in the city of Ilovaisk, Ukraine, as a result of armed aggression by the Russian Federation against Ukraine.Military service
