- 40-year-old scout Oleksandr Talimonov (call sign Limon) was killed on September 15, 2022, while performing a combat mission in the area of the village of Pristin in the Kharkiv region. The group came under mortar fire, and Sashko sustained shrapnel wounds to the heart and lungs. He on the spot. Oleksandr was born in the Zhytomyr region. At an early age, he moved with his mother to her homeland — the village of Uhornyky in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, where he remained. He graduated from Ivano-Frankivsk School No. 15 and the Ivano-Frankivsk College of Physical Education. Sashko always had many friends, whom he was always happy to help without hesitation. He loved sports, music, and occasionally wrote poetic greetings and composed poems. When the Russian-Ukrainian war began in 2014, Oleksandr did not hesitate to defend his homeland. He joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and went to fight in the ATO. With the onset of the full-scale war, he again was one of the first to go to defend Ukraine. "Wait for us with victory! Victory will be ours," were Oleksandr's words as he went to the front. He held the position of senior scout in one of the combat units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. "Sasha was a true patriot of Ukraine. He was a true friend, a reliable comrade. A person with whom it was not scary to carry out any tasks. Cheerful, positive, kind, while also straightforward, passionate, and fair. He loved life," said comrade Andriy, who came to see Oleksandr off on his final journey. Oleksandr is survived by his mother and two daughters. Senior soldier Oleksandr Talimonov was buried in the village of Uhornyky in the Ivano-Frankivsk region.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
