Oleksandr V. Terianyk (Forrest)

Soldier Oleksandr Teryanyk (call sign Forrest) was killed on September 16, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission in the Serebryansk forest area, near the city of Kreminna in the Luhansk region. The warrior was 25 years old. Oleksandr was from the village of Pirky in the Poltava region. He graduated from Zinkiv School No. 1. Then he studied at the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the National University "Poltava Polytechnic named after Yuri Kondratyuk". He was passionate about motorcycles. For some time, he worked at the Zinkiv District Police Department, and later went to work abroad. When the full-scale war began, the man returned to his homeland and voluntarily joined the military. He served in the 12th Special Operations Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine "Azov". He was a combat medic in the grenade launcher platoon. "Sasha was incredibly brave, honest, and fair. After two years abroad, he returned home to defend his country. As a combat medic, he saved many lives on the battlefield. He had many friends and made plans for his life after the war. He tried to anticipate everything and said: 'You need to be prepared for everything.' We love him and will never forget him," his sister Olena Polianova said. The defender was buried in his native village. At home, his parents and sister were waiting for Oleksandr.
