- 36-year-old soldier Oleksandr Tsivinsky (call sign Alex) killed in action on May 22, 2022 in a battle with the occupiers near the city of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region. The defender received fatal injuries during an enemy tank shelling in the area of the village of Klynove. Oleksandr was born in the city of Berdychiv, Zhytomyr region. He received secondary education. He served mandatory military service, and later served under a contract for some time. Subsequently, he returned home. He worked in various fields, including construction and security. In his free time, he loved fishing and mushroom picking. When the full-scale war began, the man went to the military enlistment office and was mobilized into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 1st separate special purpose brigade named after Ivan Bohun. He held the position of a sniper. "In the battle for Ukraine in the Bakhmut area, the Berdychiv resident Oleksandr Tsivinsky gave his life. He gave it as a true warrior - being in a combat position, holding back the tank invasion of the occupiers, remaining faithful to his duty, comrades, and compatriots until the end," the Berdychiv City Council said. The defender was buried in his hometown. Oleksandr is survived by his parents, wife, and two daughters.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
