Oleksandr V. Yukhymchuk

Born on January 30, 1973, in the village of Povchyn, Novograd-Volynskyi district, Zhytomyr region. Graduated from the secondary school in the village of Povchyn. Served mandatory military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Served in the city of Rivne. After completing mandatory military service, he served for some time under contract. Lived in the city of Rivne. Since 2000, he worked as a driver for the emergency medical service station in Rivne. In March 2014, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Served as a driver in the repair company of the 30th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0409, city of Novograd-Volynskyi, Zhytomyr region). Since the spring of 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. Served at checkpoints, repaired equipment. On January 24, 2015, during his service in the anti-terrorist operation zone, Senior Sergeant Yukhymchuk died of acute coronary insufficiency. On January 28, 2015, he was buried in the cemetery of the village of Povchyn, Novograd-Volynskyi district, Zhytomyr region. Honorary citizen of the city of Rivne (posthumously on September 17, 2015).
