Oleksandr Ya. Vladymyr (Kep)

55-year-old Captain Oleksandr Volodymyr was killed in action on July 7, 2022, in Bakhmut, Donetsk region. Oleksandr was a native of Lviv. At school, he was interested in music, played percussion instruments and guitar. Then he decided to enter the Saransk Higher Military Aviation School of Pilots. After completing his studies, he took part in combat operations on the territory of the Republic of Afghanistan. From 1994 to 1998, he served in the 12th Separate Brigade of Army Aviation named after General-Horunzhy Viktor Pavlenko. After retiring, he worked as a security guard. In 2016, he signed a contract to serve with the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo. He is remembered as a positive and cheerful person. "It was impossible to quarrel with Sashko. He was always positive, cheerful, the soul of the company. Kind, sincere. He constantly joked and had a sincere laugh. He loved military uniforms very much. Even in retirement, when he worked as a security manager, he wore a uniform. A typical professional military man. When he met his wife, he said: "Natalia, I don't know how to do anything, only fight." She replied: "Nothing." I even asked him: "Can you ever be serious?", he replied: "Yes, when I die."
