Oleksandr Yu. Kovalivskyi

Military man Oleksandr Kovalivskyi was killed on January 17, 2023 in battle with the occupiers near the village of Vodiane in Donetsk region. The defender was 44 years old. Oleksandr was born in the city of Pryluky, Chernihiv region. He studied at local schools. Then he obtained secondary vocational education at vocational school No. 34. He tried himself in various fields. In particular, he was a driver. Later he went abroad to work. During the full-scale Russian invasion, the man joined the ranks of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 36th Separate Marine Brigade named after Rear Admiral Mykhailo Bilynsky. He was a driver of the food supply platoon, a driver of the company supply vehicle for food, clothing and military-technical equipment of the battalion. "My father was a very kind and sincere person. If I asked him for something, he never refused, he always helped everyone," said Petro Kovalivskyi. The defender was buried in his hometown. Oleksandr is survived by his mother Lyudmyla, sister Natalia, and sons Petro and Bohdan.
