- Junior Lieutenant Oleksandr Kozhukh (call sign Cruz) was killed in action on August 6, 2022, near the village of Yakovlivka in Donetsk region. While performing a combat mission, he came under tank fire. The officer was 26 years old forever. Oleksandr was born in the village of Volodymyrets in Rivne region. He lived in the village of Ozhynin. He stuwas killed in action at the rural lyceum named after Taras Shevchenko. Then he graduated from the National University of Bioresources and Nature Management of Ukraine with a degree in "Water Bioresources and Aquaculture". He stuwas killed in action at the military department, received the rank of junior lieutenant. He worked at the Austrian agricultural company "Quivogne" (LLC "Kivon Ukraine). In his free time, he loved to travel around Ukraine, spend time in nature with family and friends. During the large-scale Russian invasion, Oleksandr joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was the commander of a platoon of the 14th separate mechanized brigade named after Prince Roman the Great. At the time of his death, he had two platoons under his command, as the commander of another platoon was injured. "Sasha was very sensitive, responsible and attentive. He was a support for his parents and for me, he could be relied upon in any situation. He was very strong and fair, always stood up for himself, helped those who needed it. He was the soul of the company and always saw the positive in everything and everyone. Sasha was the only son of his parents. He went to fight voluntarily, without hiding from mobilization, and constantly repeated the phrase: "Who, if not me?" He went to the front as a reserve officer, after the military department, without experience," said the deceased warrior's fiancée Kateryna. The officer was buried in the village of Ozhynin in Rivne region. Oleksandr left behind his parents Yuriy Volodymyrovych and Tetyana Ivanivna, his fiancée, friends and comrades. Posthumously, Junior Lieutenant Oleksandr Kozhukh was awarded the Order "For Courage" of the III degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
