- Senior Lieutenant Oleksandr Misyura (call sign Boroda) died on November 21, 2023 near the village of Tyahynka in the Kherson region. During the performance of a combat mission, he received a shrapnel wound and died during evacuation. The officer was forever 27 years old. Oleksandr was born and lived in the village of Kopytkov, Rivne region. In 2013, he graduated from the local school. In 2018, he received a master's degree in "Construction and Civil Engineering" after graduating from the Rivne National University of Water Management. In parallel, he studied at the military department of the university and received the rank of junior lieutenant. He worked at the "Radyvyliv Moloko" company. In civilian life, he was passionate about technology: cars, motorcycles. He dreamed of his own service station. Oleksandr never dreamed of becoming a military man and, upon receiving the summons, immediately went to the Territorial Recruitment Center. On April 11, 2022, he was sent for training to the National Academy of Land Forces named after Hetman Petro Sahaidachny in Lviv. Then he was assigned to the 211th Pontoon-Bridge Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He received the rank of lieutenant and took the position of platoon commander. In June 2023, he was promoted to the rank of senior lieutenant, and in September he was appointed commander of the 3rd Pontoon Company. At that time, his brigade was performing tasks in the Kherson direction. "Sasha was always honest, fair, responsible, a man of his word, a loving husband, the best father, a wonderful son and brother, a loyal friend. For us, his parents, he was a support and a pillar. We are proud of his courage, bravery, and strength of spirit. Sasha had good relations with his comrades-in-arms, his commanders respected him and listened to his advice," said the defender's mother, Iryna Viktorivna. The officer was buried in his native village. He is survived by his parents, sister, wife, and son. Oleksandr Misyura was posthumously awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky, III degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
