Oleksandr Yu. Mudrenko

Mudrenko Oleksandr Yuriyovych was born in the city of Radomyshl in Zhytomyr region. He was a senior soldier, a tanker in the unit of the 58th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade. Since September 2020, he had been serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine under a contract. He was killed on March 9, 2022, on the outskirts of Kolychivka village in Chernihiv region. During the battle, a Russian mine hit the tank in which the serviceman was. As a result of the explosion and fall from the tank, he covered the infantryman who was standing near the armored vehicle, thus saving his life. His mother found the place of his death thanks to local residents. He was buried in the city of Radomyshl. For personal courage and selfless actions, demonstrated in the defense of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and loyalty to the military oath, Mudrenko Oleksandr Yuriyovych was posthumously awarded the Order of "For Courage" III degree.
