Oleksandr Yu. Shevchuk

Junior Sergeant Oleksandr Shevchuk was killed in action on April 28, 2022, during a tank attack near the village of Novoselivka Druha in Donetsk region. The fighter was 31 years old. Oleksandr was born in the village of Vyshyvanka in Volyn. He stu at the school in Nosachovychi. He received the profession of a mason-carpenter at the Lutsk Higher Professional School No. 2. After his military service, he worked as a builder. Before his marriage, he went to work abroad. At the age of 16, he met 15-year-old Natalia. They immediately had feelings for each other. In 2011, the lovers got married. Oleksandr lived with his family in the city of Rozhyshche in Volyn. The couple raised two children: Anatoliy, born in 2012, and Anna, who was born in 2021. Oleksandr called her "daughter-flower." In December 2021, the couple bought a house. Oleksandr did the repairs himself. The family moved into their new home on February 20, 2022. The husband planned to set up a children's playground and dreamed of going on vacation with his whole family. In March 2022, Oleksandr received a summons. He was mobilized into the ranks of the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was the deputy commander of the combat vehicle - gunner-operator. "A few minutes before that fateful shelling, Sasha called and said everything was fine. He said he loved us very much and missed us very much... We were married for 11 years. They were the best years of my life," said his wife Natalia. The defender was buried in the Alley of Glory cemetery in Rozhyshche.
