Oleksandr Yu. Vlasenko

29-year-old junior sergeant Oleksandr Vlasenko was killed in action on June 24, 2022, in a battle near the village of Potemkine in the Kherson region. He received fatal injuries during an artillery shelling when the occupants tried to recapture the position. Oleksandr Vlasenko was born in the village of Kyinka, Chernihiv region. He stu at secondary schools in the city of Bobrovytsia and the city of Kyiv. In 2012, he graduated from the Kyiv Electromechanical Technicum named after M. Ostrovsky and became a mechanic of the SCB of the railway transport. In 2012-2013, he served in the internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the city of Donetsk. Then he worked as a senior mechanic of the SCB "Darnitsa" at "Ukrzaliznytsia", while studying part-time at the Kharkiv Ukrainian State University of Railway Transport. From 2019, he worked in the trading network "Epicenter", holding the position of mechanic for the maintenance of production equipment. The man voluntarily joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on April 28, 2022. He served in the 60th separate mechanized brigade. He was the commander of the department. "My husband was brave, strong, courageous, sociable, loving, and would have been a bright example for our son," said Viktoriya Vlasenko. The defender was buried at the Yakushkovo cemetery in the city of Bobrovytsia, Chernihiv region. Oleksandr left behind his parents, wife, and son.
