Oleksii A. Aratovskyi

Senior Lieutenant Oleksii Aratovskyi (call sign Ara) was killed on July 21, 2023 near the settlement of Kurdiumivka in the Donetsk region. During the performance of a combat mission, he came under attack from an enemy drone. The defender was 24 years old forever. Oleksii was born in the city of Pavlohrad, Dnipropetrovsk region. He dreamed of becoming a police officer, so he entered the Dnipro State University of Internal Affairs. He studied criminal law. He loved to spend his free time with friends and family. He dreamed of having a daughter. In November 2022, he went to the Kherson region for a cleanup operation. Then he realized that he was not doing enough, and in March 2023 he joined the ranks of the united assault brigade of the National Police of Ukraine "Fury". Before his last combat mission, he managed to receive the rank of Senior Lieutenant. "My son was a very kind, smiling person who loves life, he was the soul of the company. He loved his family and friends very much, he could always come to help. Even in the most unpleasant moments of life, he made sure that no one was sad. I am very proud of my son, we love him, he will forever remain in our hearts," said the mother of the fallen. The warrior was buried in the city of Pavlohrad. Oleksii is survived by his parents, sister and brother. Oleksii Aratovskyi was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree, the distinction of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine "Cross of the Brave", and the distinction of the President of Ukraine "For the Defense of Ukraine".
