Oleksii A. Melnychuk (Bankir)

Soldier Oleksiy Melnychuk (call sign Banker) was killed on September 10, 2022, during an enemy artillery shelling while carrying out a combat mission near the settlement of Male Vesele in the Kharkiv region. The warrior was 42 years old. Oleksiy was born in the city of Kivertsi, Volyn region. He lived in Lutsk. He graduated from general education school No. 12 there. He worked abroad. In his free time, he loved playing football. He traveled a lot with his family. With the onset of the full-scale war, Volodymyr was mobilized into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Since May, he became a shooter in the 14th separate mechanized brigade named after Prince Roman the Great. "Oleksiy was a loving husband, a caring and tender father, instilling in his son both patriotism and courage. He was a kind, responsible, active, and cheerful person. He had huge plans for life and countless dreams," said the wife of the fallen, Tetiana. The defender was buried at the Alley of Honorary Burials in the village of Harazhdja in Volyn. Oleksiy is survived by his parents, sister, brother, wife, and son.
