Oleksii E. Cherniavskyi (Myrnyi)

Oleksiy Eduardovych Chernyavsky was born on June 16, 1991, in the Kherson region. He participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation in Donbas in 2014-2015. Then he worked in security. From 2017, he served in the separate special purpose unit of the National Guard of Ukraine "Azov". During his service, he obtained a higher education at an agricultural university. He was fascinated by the beauty of Ukraine and wanted to visit every corner of it. With the start of the full-scale invasion, together with his comrades, he defended the city of Mariupol. He died on March 20, 2022, as a result of an enemy air strike during the evacuation of the wounded to the "Azovstal" plant. During his service, Sergeant Chernyavsky was repeatedly awarded. In particular, he was awarded the "Defender of Mariupol" medal, the President of Ukraine's distinction "For participation in the Anti-Terrorist Operation", and the regiment's distinction "Shyrokyne Operation". Posthumously, Chernyavsky was awarded the Order "For Courage" of the 3rd degree.
