- Senior soldier Oleksii Barkar (call sign Lova) was killed on March 27, 2023 during an enemy missile attack in the Sloviansk area of Donetsk region. The warrior was forever 34 years old. Oleksii was born in the village of Pryvil'ne, Dnipropetrovsk region. He lived in Dnipro. He graduated from the Dnipropetrovsk Transport and Economic College, where he obtained the specialty of an electrician for high-voltage lines. He worked in his specialty at DTEK "Dniprooblenergo". He loved to repair all types of equipment and drive various types of vehicles. Since 2014, he has participated in the ATO in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, was wounded, but quickly returned to the ranks. Later he was demobilized and returned to civilian work. However, the war did not leave the man, so shortly before the invasion he again joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and participated in the Joint Forces Operation. At the time of the full-scale war, Oleksii served in the 17th separate Kryvyi Rih tank brigade named after Kostiantyn Pestushko. He held the position of driver - electrician of the communications platoon of the tank battalion. He fought for Volnovakha and Vysokopillia in Donetsk region, then fought in Kherson region and returned to the East, but for the last time. Oleksii was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
