Oleksii I. Pakalo

Born on March 13, 1984, in the urban-type settlement of Peresichne (now Peresichne) in the Derhachi district of Kharkiv region. Graduated from the general education school of the urban-type settlement of Peresichne and Kharkiv Higher Vocational School No. 6. In 2002-2003, he served his mandatory military service in military unit 3004 of the Eastern Territorial Command of the Internal Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine (city of Donetsk). After the army, he lived in the city of Kharkiv. He worked at the Limited Liability Company "Allo," then at Kharkiv Detention Center No. 27. In 2009, he graduated from the Ukrainian Engineering and Pedagogical Academy (city of Kharkiv) by correspondence. In the Armed Forces of Ukraine since October 6, 2009. He served under contract as the chief sergeant of a platoon in the 30th Separate Guards Mechanized Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0409 (field post V2731), city of Novograd-Volynskyi, Zhytomyr region). Since the summer of 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On August 31, 2014, Sergeant Pakalo was killed while performing a combat mission in the area of the city of Lutuhyne, Luhansk region. He is buried in the cemetery of the urban-type settlement of Peresichne in the Derhachi district of Kharkiv region.
