- Sergeant Oleksii Dziubka (call sign August) died on December 18, 2023, in battle with Russian invaders near the village of Spirne in the Donetsk region. The warrior was 41 years old. Oleksii was born in the village of Sakhnovshchyna, Kharkiv region. In 2004, he graduated from the Poltava University of Economics and Trade with a degree in Commodity Science and Commercial Activity. In 2011, he obtained a second higher education at the National Pedagogical University named after M.P. Drahomanov in the field of History. Since 2013, he has lived with his family in the village of Kotsyubynske, Kyiv region. For a long time, he worked as a real estate sales manager at the "Miszhytlobud" company. In recent years, he has been engaged in complex repairs of houses and apartments. He was interested in history, World War II weapons, read books, and watched sports competitions in wrestling, boxing, and judo. During the full-scale war, the man became a military of the National Guard of Ukraine. He served in the "Freedom" battalion and held the position of platoon commander. "Many sincere words were said about the commander. Because he was a true commander: intelligent, sincere, friendly in communication with subordinates, and brave in battle, when he took on the most risky tasks. In his last battle, the guys gave the enemy a good thrashing. Radio intercepts indicate at least 22 killed, not counting the wounded. But this arithmetic does not alleviate the pain of the loss," said his comrade-in-arms. "Courageous, sincere, honest, intelligent, kind, fair, beloved, the best man, father, son," - this is how his wife Alina described the fallen. Oleksii was buried in his native village of Sakhnovshchyna. The warrior is survived by his parents, wife, and two children. Posthumously, the National Guardsman was awarded the "For Courage" medal. He was also awarded the title of "Honorary Citizen of the Village of Kotsyubynske".Memory Platform 'Memorial'
