Oleksii M. Kozorizenko (Bohun)

Junior Sergeant Oleksiy Kozorizenko (call sign Bohun) was killed on March 18, 2022, while carrying out a combat mission in the vicinity of the village of Natalivka in the Zaporizhzhia region. The defender was forever 31 years old. Oleksiy was born in Poltava region. In 2013, he graduated from the National University of Bioresources and Nature Management of Ukraine with a degree in "Technology of production and processing of animal husbandry." Since 2014, he had served under contract in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a military serviceman of a marine infantry unit. Since 2021, he had served in the 59th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Yakov Gandzyuk. He participated in the ATO / OOS. At the time of the full-scale war, the man continued to defend Ukraine as part of his brigade. He held the position of platoon commander of the 10th Separate Motorized Infantry Battalion. Together with his comrades, he fought on the hottest front lines. "Oleksiy was a true friend, the best son, a golden person, a worthy commander. He was a brave and courageous warrior who always put the interests of his country above his personal ones," said the relatives of the deceased. The warrior was buried in his native village. Oleksiy left behind his mother, wife, and daughter.
