Oleksii M. Novitskyi (Kazakh)

Oleksiy Mykhailovych Novitskyi was born in 1977 in the village of Shrubkiv, Khmilnytskyi region. He worked as a construction worker. In the first days of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, he voluntarily went to the front. Operator of the anti-aircraft missile system of the 63rd separate mechanized brigade. On January 5, 2023, Junior Sergeant Oleksandr Novitskyi shot down a "Su-25" of the Russian occupiers in the Donetsk region using a "Stinger" MANPADS. He was wounded by shrapnel from the falling projectile, which was incompatible with life. On January 11, 2023, he was buried in the village of Shrubkiv, Khmilnytskyi district.
