Biography
Oleksii Mykolaiovych Riznychenko was born on June 30, 1994 in Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. He studied at Kryvyi Rih Gymnasium No. 91, which he graduated from in 2011. He enrolled in the Kharkiv National Medical University, majoring in "Medical Affairs" on a state-funded place. During his studies, he was an active blood and plasma donor, engaged in research work, and participated in profile Olympiads and conferences. He received military training at the Department of Disaster Medicine and Military Medicine of KhNMU. He was awarded the rank of junior lieutenant. During the Revolution of Dignity, he was an active participant in Kharkiv. On March 1, 2014, he was a participant in the events near the Regional State Administration and was injured by pro-Russian activists during the assault on the building. After graduating, he returned to his hometown to undergo an internship, and then worked as a general practitioner at Outpatient Clinic No. 7, eventually becoming its head. He was actively involved in the Equal Group for Family Doctors, Nurses and Medical Educators, engaged in research activities, and constantly improved his qualifications. He worked with ATO veterans undergoing psychological rehabilitation. On February 25, 2022, he volunteered to the military enlistment office. Until May 11, 2022, he held the position of company commander of the guard. During this time, he also conducted training of military personnel in first aid on the battlefield. He actively cooperated with volunteers and provided mobilized personnel with medicines and tourniquets. On May 11, 2022, he was promoted to the rank of lieutenant and transferred to the 169th Training Center "Desna" named after Prince Yaroslav the Wise. At "Desna", Oleksii was assigned to the 66th Separate Mechanized Brigade, where he took the position of head of the medical unit. He was killed on September 27, 2022 during the evacuation of the wounded in the suburbs of Lyman. During the battles for the liberation of the city, the BTR in which Oleksii was traveling was blown up by a mine.Burial place
