Oleksii Mykolaiovych Semenets was born on March 30, 1995, in the village of Viitivka, Bershad district, Vinnytsia region. After graduating from the Viitivka secondary school of I-III degrees, he studied at the Bershad Medical College, where he received the profession of a paramedic. In 2014, he became a student of the Vinnytsia National Pirogov Memorial Medical University. Later, he took an academic leave and worked in the Czech Republic for three months. After returning, he almost immediately in 2020 signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine and went to serve as a volunteer. From May 16, 2020, Oleksii Semenets held the military position of a combat medic of the 3rd platoon of the 1st company of the 9th separate motorized infantry battalion "Vinnytsia Scythians" of the 59th separate motorized infantry brigade named after Yakov Handziuk. At the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, he was at the forefront. In the first days of the Russian invasion, while surrounded near Kherson, the medic performed surgical interventions on his comrades-in-arms and extracted shrapnel from their hands and legs. He voluntarily engaged in battle in an open field near the village of Novotroitske to delay the enemy infantry for a certain time and allow his comrades-in-arms to withdraw to more advantageous positions. Risking his life, under shelling, he provided medical assistance to units in the Zaporizhia region. He was twice concussed. He died on April 21, 2022, near the village of Vremivka, Volnovakha district, Donetsk region, while providing medical assistance to a wounded warrior. After the artillery shelling, he rushed to provide assistance to fighters from the neighboring unit who had requested help. At that time, a Russian sabotage group entered the area. The farewell to the fallen took place on April 25, 2022, in his native village of Viitivka, Bershad city territorial community, Vinnytsia region. He was buried in the village cemetery.Burial place
