- Born on May 12, 1989, in the village of Olenynske, Okhtyrka district, Sumy region. In 2006, he graduated from the general education school of the urban-type settlement Chupakhivka, Okhtyrka district, Sumy region. He served his mandatory military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He worked at the LLC "Okhtyrka Dairy Industrial Company 'Slavia'." On March 24, 2014, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the rocket artillery battery of the rocket artillery division of the 27th rocket artillery regiment of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (now the 27th rocket artillery brigade - military unit A1476 - city of Sumy). Since the summer of 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On August 21, 2014, at 04:30, in the area of the settlement of Starohnativka, Volnovakha district, Donetsk region, positions of Ukrainian troops were shelled from the territory of the Russian Federation using the "Uragan" multiple rocket launcher. During the shelling, Oleksiy Verbytsky was in the cabin of the vehicle as the duty driver. While saving the life of his comrade, Oleksiy sustained injuries incompatible with life. On August 24, 2014, he was buried in the cemetery of the village of Olenynske, Okhtyrka district. In May 2015, a memorial plaque was installed on the facade of the general education school building (Shkilny Lane, 1) in the urban-type settlement of Chupakhivka, Okhtyrka district, where Oleksiy Verbytsky studied.Book of Remembrance for Ukraine - Ukrainian memorial
