Oleksii O. Andreiev (Kurt)

Sapper Oleksiy Andreyev (call sign Kurt) was killed in a hospital in Kharkiv on September 17, 2022. On September 13, he was blown up on an enemy mine in the area of the settlement of Pytomnik in the Kharkiv region. For four days, doctors fought for his life, but the defender's heart could not withstand. He was 23 years old. Oleksiy was from the city of Sarny, Rivne region. He lived in Kyiv. He graduated from the National Aviation University, obtaining a degree in management. He worked for the security company "Sheriff". He was interested in numismatics. With the beginning of the full-scale war, Oleksiy joined the Territorial Defense Forces of the capital. He served in the 130th battalion of the 241st separate brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a sapper and a driver. He defended the Kyiv and Kharkiv regions. "My son was the youngest of the children, but he did the greatest thing - he went to defend his country and us from the enemy. He loved life very much, had plans for the future, but without hesitation, made such a choice," said Halyna Andreyeva. The warrior was buried in the "Nove" cemetery in his native Sarny. Oleksiy is survived by his mother, four sisters, brother, relatives, friends and comrades-in-arms. Posthumously, soldier Oleksiy Andreyev was awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.
