Oleksii O. Chubashev (Rekrut)

Chubasev Oleksiy Oleksandrovych was born on November 16, 1991 in the city of Polohy, Zaporizhia region. In 2010, he graduated from the Kyiv Military Lyceum named after Ivan Bohun, and in 2015 - the Military Institute of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv with a degree in Journalism. In 2009, he participated in the military parade on the occasion of the Independence Day of Ukraine. In 2015, he made his first rotation to the ATO zone, and that same year he began serving as a military journalist at the Central Television and Radio Studio of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. He is the author and host of the first military reality show in Ukraine "Recruit.UA". In December 2019, he was appointed as the acting head of the Central Television and Radio Studio of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine (the head of "Military TV" and the radio station "Army FM"). After the expiration of the contract on February 28, 2021, he was discharged into the reserve. After his dismissal, he developed his own projects. With the beginning of the large-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022, he performed combat missions as part of a special forces group of the 8th separate special forces regiment in the Kyiv region, took part in the liberation of the settlements of Makariv, Motyzhin and Kopylov. In April of the same year, he was drafted by mobilization, sent to the Main Directorate of Intelligence, where he took the position of commander of the group of the International Legion of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. As part of the legion, he took part in battles in the Mykolaiv direction, and since the beginning of June 2022 - in the eastern direction. He died on June 10, 2022 during the defense of Severodonetsk. On June 14, Oleksiy Chubasev was bid farewell in Kyiv, he left behind a wife, daughter and son. He was buried at the Baikove Cemetery in Kyiv. On June 28, 2022, Captain Oleksiy Chubasev was posthumously promoted to the rank of Major.
