Oleksii O. Hariachuk (Ahat)

Junior Sergeant Oleksii Hariachuk (call sign Ahat) died on July 24, 2022, while carrying out a combat mission in the area of the Vuhleheirs'ka TPP in Svitlodarsk, Donetsk region. The defender was 36 years old. Oleksii was from the city of Berezan, Kyiv region. He graduated from a construction college, but did not work in his profession. He was engaged in entrepreneurial activity - he had his own business in the trade sector. He loved his work very much. In his free time, he went fishing. After the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the occupiers, the man joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as he wanted to liberate and protect his native country. He served in the 5th separate assault brigade. He was a squad commander, a combat vehicle commander. Since the summer of 2022, he has been defending Donetsk region. "Thanks to the deed of my husband and for his sake, I consciously feel what it means to be a Ukrainian," said the wife of the deceased Inna. The defender was buried in his hometown. At home, Oleksii was awaited by his parents, brother, wife and daughter.
