Oleksii O. Obratenko (Chacha)

Soldier Oleksii Obratenko killed in action in March 2022 in battles with Russian occupiers. Oleksii was born in the city of Popasna in Luhansk region. His father was a pastor of the local Evangelical Baptist church. The boy graduated from Popasna School No. 24 and then from Popasna Professional Lyceum of Railway Transport. During the Russian-Ukrainian war, Oleksii joined the ranks of the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Black Zaporozhians. The defender was buried at the Alley of Glory cemetery "Sukhyi Yar" in the city of Bila Tserkva, Kyiv region. Oleksii is survived by his wife and little daughter. Posthumously, soldier Oleksii Obratenko was awarded the Order "For Courage" III degree.
