Oleksii O. Tsiva (Lys)

Senior soldier Oleksii Tsiva (call sign Fox) died on July 31, 2023, while performing his official duties near the village of Klishchiyivka in the Donetsk region. The warrior was 39 years old. Oleksii was from Kyiv. He graduated from the National Academy of Internal Affairs of Ukraine. In civilian life, he worked in the security service of the AJAX systems company. He was passionate about sports and maintained good physical fitness. He loved fishing. With the start of the full-scale war, the man voluntarily took up the defense of the capital and the Kyiv region. He fought in the ranks of the 112th separate brigade of the territorial defense. He served in the rifle company of the 129th separate battalion. "I am infinitely sad, I love... He is my pride, my strength and weakness..." wrote the hero's wife, Tetiana Tsiva. Oleksii was buried on the Alley of Glory of the Forest Cemetery in Kyiv. At home, a wife was waiting for the defender. The soldier was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.
