Oleksii S. Kalyniuk

Born on March 30, 1993, in the city of Rakhiv, Zakarpattia region. In 2010, he graduated from secondary school No. 1 in the city of Rakhiv. From the spring of 2011, he served in the military, and from July 15, 2011, he served under contract in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He underwent military training at the 169th Training Center of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0665, the urban-type settlement of Desna, Kozelets district, Chernihiv region). He served as a mechanic-driver in the 128th Separate Mountain Infantry Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A1778 (field post V4673), the city of Mukacheve, Zakarpattia region). From the spring-summer of 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On July 3, 2014, soldier Kalynyuk was killed during shelling with small arms and mortars of the positions of Ukrainian troops in the area of the village of Nyzhnya Vilkhova, Stanytsia Luhanska district, Luhansk region. On July 6, 2014, he was buried in the cemetery on Kyivska Street in the city of Rakhiv, Zakarpattia region.
